This is the scene from my son’s school about 2 Friday evenings ago. The event was a called, “Read for Life, Family Night” I believe. The children had been given reading logs at the beginning of the year to encourage daily reading. Some children read their poems or short stories. Parents were engaged in different interactive segments showcasing our knowledge of the classics from years past. And the one of the highlights of the evening was a performance by the school body singing ‘Read for Life’, a song written by the School’s Principal who is also an avid reader.
Referral Marketing tip from a football club

The picture above is the scene from my son’s football club last Saturday. And that is just about a 3rd of the field. There are 2 more [large] groups of players on the left that are not shown in the picture. It was in the morning, a nice sunny day was shaping up, we had just come back from a break the week before and everyone was in the ‘football mood’ it seems. The football club came from humble beginnings. When we joined, it was a decent size, lots of players but still a good ratio between coach and players. Now they have grown to a size where they need to have multiple sessions in order to accommodate the number of children that are in attendance. And they did this with mostly referral marketing. Referral marketing is a topic that I will cover in a future e-Newsletter and on the blog at JaSmallBizMarketing.com so stay tuned.
